With so many water park attractions in Dubai it’s hard (and expensive) to do all of them… Especially if you’re just visiting for a holiday.
I’ve done a little review on the ones that we’ve been to so far! (I’ll update the list as and when we visit more) I’ve focused on how they’re suited to under 5’s.
Water Parks For Under 5’s

Aquaventure – Atlantis – My Rating For Under 5’s, 9/10
Pros
- Newly refurbished toddler zone with a super soft floor and beach shore style entrance.
- Specially designated toddler area called ‘Splashers Kids Play Area’ including Splashers Island and Splashers Mountain. (March 2021 update: This part is currently closed for maintenance but….)
- There is a newly opened part too called tridents tower, splashers cove and splashers lagoon, the latter two are perfect for little ones with lots to do! Click here for full details on the new bit!
- Lots of slides suitable for even the littlest of ones under 1.2m tall.
- Great fun for kids, even the littlest! Click here for a slide action video!
- Splash park style pool
- UAE Residence rates available
- Lazy river rings suitable for little tots with the seat included.
- Entry is included if you’re a hotel guest at the Atlantis.
- Pram/stroller friendly
- Several restaurant options and lighter bites like frozen yoghurt and Starbucks etc in Atlas village.
- Clean & newly refurbished toddler zone, Splashers Island.
- Life jackets available (free of charge)
- Free entry for children 0-3 years old!

Cons
- Gets very busy – aim to get there for opening time to get beds near the kids area. Seating is limited.
- Charge for towels so be sure to take your own.
- A big resort, good to get your steps up but also when it gets busy it can be a challenge keeping an eye on the kids… especially if you have more than one… does anyone have a spare set of eyes… and hands please! ha!

- Tired & dated kids zone in comparison to the new facilities at Aquaventure.

Laguna La Mer – My Rating For Under 5’s, 6/10
Pros
- Very reasonably priced with all inclusive food and drink options available.
- Not too over crowded.

- Validated parking ticket upon exit
- Not too big, easy to keep an eye on little ones.
- Two child friendly zones, one with slides and one that is more of a splash pad for younger ones.

Cons

- Food & drink on all inclusive deal is limited
- Sharp floor. Be sure to take swim shoes for kids and yourselves!

Feedback
Have you been to any of the above, what did you think? Are there any must visit water attractions for toddlers in Dubai that I’ve missed? I’ve got the new jungle Bay at the Westin on my list to visit! Let me know in the ‘leave a reply’ box below. Thanks for reading!
*** The pictures I’ve included are selective to not include other people hence why they are limited.
