I’ve been nominated for an award! Saying it out loud is unreal and typing it feels even crazier! I’ve read the email a million times and yep, I’ve definitely been nominated! This is not a hoax….

Crazy times

When I started documenting our expat journey just over a year ago I never imagined that I would even be on anybody’s radar let alone recognised and nominated for something! Absolutely crazy and overwhelming!

MBC Magazine Awards

Mother, Baby & Child Magazine is a printed and online magazine in the UAE covering all things parenting. They also run fab mummy mornings and events! I’ve been to a few and they’re brilliant!

The Nomination

Sooo I received a totally surreal email telling me that I’ve been selected as a nominee under the category of ‘Parenting & Lifestyle Influencer of the Year’…. EEEEEEK!

I know some of the other nominees really well and would be over the moon for them if any of them won. My little blog wouldn’t be where it is today without their support! You can vote for one of us here (even if you’re not in the UAE) …. AND there’s a chance to win a 3 night stay for 2 adults and 2 children in Marbella!!

As corny as this sounds it feels like an accomplishment in itself just to be nominated! Don’t get me wrong… Obviously, I would love to win (I mean, who wouldn’t), but I’m up against some pretty fabulous people and getting this far is just amazing! Thanks to everyone who’s supported my little hobby and helped me turn it into something more than that! Good luck to everyone nominated… I’ll be voting for one of you too as I wouldn’t mind winning a little mini break to Marbs!
